CIRTEN participated/participate in international academic programs in Nuclear Engineering (NE), such as:
1) ENEN Project of 5°, 6°,7° EC FWP with the following key results:
1.1) Definition of the characteristics of a CdL European Masters in N.E. (EMSNE)
1.2) Organization of pilot courses in nuclear field
1.3) Creation of an European Network (ENEN) for accreditation of curriculum for the Master
2) NEPTUNO Project of 6° EC FWP (Nuclear European Platform of Training and University Organizations) which allowed:

2.1) Contacts and interactions between academia and industry to teach N.E.;
2.2) Implementation of the recognition of European Master of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering (EMSNE) to correspond certificates issued by European universities participating in the ENEN Network within certain requirements established by an International Commission;
3) Participation to the institution of WORLD NUCLEAR UNIVERSITY (WNU), founded in London in September 2003, together with other International Partner Organizations (including ENEN) with support and under the auspices of IAEA, NEA, OECD, WANO, WNA to establish a network of international/intercontinental Institutions and organizations that promote cooperation for the safe application of all aspects of nuclear technologies to promote sustainable development.
4) participation in the International consortium promoted by Westinghouse for the development of innovative Near Term Deployment PWR IRIS reactor.
